The Road To Reading 2016

Welcome aboard the first ever Sisteray blog post boys and girls. We don’t exactly work in the shadows but we thought it would be nice to give you an insight in to what’s going down with the band! For those who don't know us we are Niall, Dan, Mike and Marco. It's an exciting, frustrating and sometimes ridiculous time and someone thought it was a good idea to share it - we'll see.

We have titled the blog 'The Road To Reading'...

This is because a couple of weeks ago we were lucky enough to get given passes for the Sunday at The Reading Festival and had an amazing time - Anyone who follows us on Facebook and/or  Twitter, will know that we have a lot of love for The Libertines who headlined and it was great to see The CribsJamie T and a load of other bands around the other stages. We had a great time but one thing was absolutely clear, Sisteray have to play next year - there's no doubt about that, so here we are on The Road To Reading (2016).

For all you’s who have waited ever so patiently, we will have new material out in the not so distant future. We have recently been recording some new songs (which you may have heard live) with Palma Violets/The Vaccines producer Rory Attwell. The setting was less than normal, on a boat, in the Thames, in the east-end of London called Lightship 95. Mick didn’t like it, he got seasick, so expect some funky bass lines.
We're really excited about these songs and pretty confident that they will open a few doors and help us with current discussions with labels, trying to find a booking agent, PR etc and making sure Sisteray continue to kick arse live.

The idea is that this blog won't all be about us. We love music, especially bands and artists with something to say and if any come to our attention along the way we'll give them a mention. Plus there's a lot happening in the UK and world at the moment, a lot that makes us angry and smile and all the rest of it, so we'll try and include some of that as well.

So look out for our next post and we'll take it from there. Of course, every journey needs a soundtrack so we put this one together, for us in the tour bus/car and anyone who's joining us on this Road To Reading ;-)

We’ve made a playlist of what we’re listening to on the road, getting us through those long, monotonous journeys. Check it…
